I also like that there are some unusual things in this area. Surfing in Newquay is unlike surfing anywhere else in the UK. The Eden Project is the largest closed forest in the world, which you cannot find anywhere else in the country.

If you haven’t seen it yet, start planning your trip! Well, it’s time to show you the best days out in Cornwall…

If you’re into art, then a trip to St Ives is a must. Tate St Ives is in a beautiful location, overlooking the Atlantic. The gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the work of contemporary British artists associated with the St Ives area. Adjacent to the Barbara Hepworth Museum is the Sculpture Garden, with the artist’s stunning works on display in the garden.

The Eden Project is one of Cornwall’s most popular attractions. The huge domes house rare plant life from around the world, along with waterfalls and walkways. It’s a great way to really get to know life in this world. It’s also great for families, with a playground and zipline for older kids and adults!

Best Towns And Villages In Cornwall To Visit!

One of the best things to do in Newquay is surfing! Fistral Beach has the best waves in the country, but if that seems too difficult, there are other local beaches you can base yourself on. If you want to see some great action on the waves, plan your holiday in Newquay in mid-August, when the world’s surfing stars will compete for tickets to the World Surf League games at Boardmasters.

What an idea! Legend has it that a giant called Bedrutan used huge stones as stepping stones – and it’s only when you get to the beach that you realize how big they are. It’s best to visit at low tide to get a good look at the beach areas as they were cut when the tide came in. You will need to be mobile as there are over 120 fixed steps to reach. However, I would say that the views are even better from the road above the cape.

If you are visiting Cornwall as a large group I recommend looking at self catering options. Properties are usually owned by locals so you can enjoy an authentic experience and get lots of expert advice about the area.

As places go, this theater is in one of the best places possible! An outdoor amphitheater of granite inscribed stones over Porthcurno Beach, sea and back. Opened in 1932, the summer is filled with a variety of concerts and plays.

From seafood restaurants on the harbour, to Michelin star restaurants and ice cream shops, Padstow is home to some of the best food in Cornwall. My favorite restaurant in this small fishing town is Rick Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant. The restaurant in front of the port allows you to eat from around the world as the menu reflects Rick’s passion for international cuisine. If you are celebrating something special, I also recommend a trip to Michelin with Paul Ainsworth at number 6.

Reached by a boardwalk at low tide, Mount St Michael is a beautiful island perched on top of a historic castle and is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Cornwall. You can wander through the centuries-old corridors and learn all about the St Aubyn family, who have lived there since the 17th century. There is also a very small village to explore, with around 30 people who call the hill home today.

If you like exploring nature, head to the Glen of Saint Nectan – a peaceful woodland area near Tintagel. The highlight is St. Nectan’s Kieve, a 60-meter waterfall that shoots water into the rocks. There are two small springs, plus you can rent a vellis when you get there so you can wade in the water with great views.

Britain is a nation driven by time. Don’t know what you’re talking about? Comment on time! We talk about it a lot, but contrary to what you may have heard, there is no such thing as bad weather in the UK. It’s just unpredictable and varies from region to region.

You can expect an average of 5°C in Cornwall in January/February and a high of 25°C in July/August.

If you are wondering when is the best time to visit Cornwall, I recommend planning your trip in May or June. The weather is usually warm and sunny, the rain is low and it’s not peak season, so you don’t have to deal with crowds. The longest day is around June 20th every year, so you can enjoy exploring with the best light now!

I’ve never been a fan of November in Cornwall – it’s dark! It’s the wettest month of the year, and while December can be very cold, there’s a magic of Christmas all over the country that always brings a smile to my face!
